The SIMPLE WELLNESS MODEL


LEVEL 1 - THE RABBIT EFFECT

In 1978, a seemingly straightforward experiment designed to establish the relationship between high blood cholesterol and heart health in rabbits discovered that kindness—in the form of a particularly nurturing post-doc who pet and spoke to the lab rabbits as she fed them—made the difference between a heart attack and a healthy heart.

Furthermore groundbreaking new research shows that love, friendship, community, life’s purpose, and our environment can have a greater impact on our health than anything that happens in the doctor’s office. 

For this reason the foundation to our Simple Wellness Model is The Rabbit Effect. 

It underpins everything we do, why we do it and how we do it. First and foremost unconditional LOVE must be the motive. 

Love for ourselves. Love for others. Love for life.

LEVEL 2 - NUTRITION & DIGESTION

The second layer is our Nutrition & Digestion. This is much more than fuel and digesting our food properly. Food made with love and supplementation to compliment it supports our energy levels, our mood and our ability to us live a life we love with purpose!

The third layer is our Movement & Metabolism. Moving our bodies is the greatest gift and we can choose to do it in anyway we love.  We can run, jog, walk, swim, stretch, jump, skip. We can do HITT, weightlifting, yoga, pilates, barre. It is not what we do, it is why we do it. We want to create more energy! When we increase our movement and our metabolism our body becomes a self rejuvenating machine. 

LEVEL 3 - MOVEMENT & METABOLISM

The third layer is our Movement & Metabolism. Moving our bodies is the greatest gift and we can choose to do it in anyway we love. We can run, jog, walk, swim, stretch, jump, skip. We can do HITT, weightlifting, yoga, pilates, barre or housework. It is not what we do, it is why we do it. We want to create more energy and lift our mood and outlook for the day ahead! 
When we increase our movement and our metabolism our body becomes a self rejuvenating machine that helps our body maintain itself. It also sets us up for a good night's sleep.

LEVEL 4 - REST & MANAGING STRESS

The fourth layer is Rest & Managing Stress. If you love to sleep and be pampered this is the layer for you. Our bodies were designed to positively handle stress, however, if we encounter too much stress, over a prolonged period of time we lose our ability to repair and rejuvenate. Thankfully, we can use touch and smell to stimulate our emotions and our nervous system to counteract this while we are proactively trying to eliminate stressful situation from our life that  are within our control. 

LEVEL 5 - TOXICITY

The fifth layer is Toxicity. Toxins come in many forms. They can turn up in our every day essentials like food, packaging, body care, cleaning products, medicine, beauty products. The secret to this layer is making small and simple changes slowly over time in the areas we can control without stressing or worrying about what we can’t. We can strengthen our immune system, do occasional cleanses and slowly swap to low tox alternatives of our everyday favourites as they run out. Also If you are feel extra creative you can start simple with home grown, home made or DIY food, body care and cleaning essentials. 

LEVEL 6 - INFORMED SELF CARE

The sixth layer is proactive self care. This is where our Modern Essentials & Essential Emotions come in extremely handy. Before you reach for something to mask or numb your symptoms look to see if you can bring the body back into balance or naturally alleviate the concern or underlining cause. Our body is amazing at healing itself when it is given the right support. The right oils, in the right place, with the right loving touch can really work wonders! 

LEVEL 7 - PROACTIVE MEDICAL CARE

The Seventh layer is proactive medical care. After we have done everything within our control to stay well we can proactively seek medical care with a professionally trained provider we trust. Whether that is a yearly wellness check up, a persisting ailment assessment or an emergency visit, they can give you the best care plan for your individual needs. Medical Assistance can be life saving and can determine an underlying condition we may not be aware of which requires necessary surgery, medication or therapy for our greatest good.
